Sunny Palm Springs is a well known Oasis for gay life. With its own airport and only an easy 2 hour drive from LA and San Diego finding a way to get there is quite simple. Palm Springs and its sister city Cathedral City both host several gay establishments which are worth visiting during your desert stay.

As far as lodging goes, the area of Warm Springs in Palm Springs packs the largest amount of all gay resorts in the area. The warm springs area is located South of Ramon Road, West of South Sunny way and North of East Palm Canyon Drive. The area is a 10 minute walk to Palm springs downtown area and parking is always ample. At night the area is very cruisey and don’t be surprised if at night your headlights catch a naked butt running across the street from one of the resorts to another. There are so many resorts I could not check them all out but here are a few.

Vista Grande, Atrium, Avalon & Mirage (574 Warm Sands Dr. Palm Springs 92264 800-669-1069) are basically 4 resorts in one. The staff is very friendly and they have 3 pools a waterfall, the largest Jacuzzi they can legally have and a steam room. The rooms themselves are clean, large and many are equipped with full kitchens but one gets a sense that they are run down and old. Clothing here, as in most of the gay resorts in Palm Springs, is optional.

Inn Exile (545 Warm Sands Drive, Palm Springs 92264 800-962-0816) Is very beautiful and well kept. When you enter the reception area you can see signed naked pictures of porn stars who frequent the resort or who have shot their videos there.

InnDuldge Palm Springs (601 Grenfall Road, Palm Springs 92264 800-833-5675) Is a long standing resort which was once a popular straight destination. InnDuldge is now an all gay clothing optional resort with large very clean rooms, great service and staff. They offer a video library (both adult and regular movies) and Wifi as well as 2 computer terminals and a gym. This gay resort has a heated pool as well as a Jacuzzi. If you sat at InnDuldge don’t forget to go to the 7:00 pm happy hour for drinks and socializing.

The Hacienda at Warm Sands (586 Warm Sands Drive, Palm Springs, 92264 800 359-2007) Is a well kept, clean resort which usually is booked out so plan in advance if you want to sat at this resort. Aside from amenities such as pool and Wifi The Hacienda also offers a “Pillow Menu” Where you can order the type of pillow you would like in advance

Chaps Inn (312 Camino Monte Vista, Palm Springs 92262 800-445-8916) is as the name implies a leather gay resort catering for the BDSM crowd. The clothing as you probably guessed is optional. Rooms have hooks for slings and restraints.
